November 17, 2008 **NATIONALS NEWS!!!**
We are home from our National Specialty in Vegas! We had an incredible week with our fellow breeders and friends, both old and new. At the first preshow, we were honored to handle Riley's daughter, Shawn, to BOSP under SBJ Heidi Mobley and Tanner to a Premier Award under SBJ Tiffany Levin-Almeroth. Riley's daughters also did us proud, as Sheila went RWB under SBJ Ginger Abbott and Cinder garnered a Premier and Emmi, BOS, under SBJ Tiffany Levin-Almeroth. The second day, Emmi picked up a Premier under AKC Judge Debora Stearn and Hailey picked up a 3rd in a huge 12-18 class under SBJ Kiddy Christie (completely naked, we might add)! At the final preshow, Hobie went RWD under SBJ Laura Shivers and Emmi picked up another Premier Award under SBJ Erica Peters-Pruitt! The National Specialty kicked off on Monday with Tanner winning the Conformation Finals (although his breeder got the honor of handling him, we cheered him on in the stands) and Emmi took 2nd to him under SBJ's Barbara Hager, Lori Middleton and David Hill! Riley's 3 latest additions, Phelps, Shawn and Nastia won their puppy classes under SBJ Janet White and Teddy was Best Opposite Veteran under SBJ Debra St. Jacques on Thursday over an incredible entry. Zipper's granddaughter won her large 12-18 class and Riley's daughter Sheila was WB under SBJ Patty Wirries to finish her championship and went on to take BOW under SBJ Rick Gann. On the final day of the show, we were honored to handle Delilah to a Premier and were able to cheer Emmi on to her BOS win! CONGRATS to the owners of these outstanding dogs: Ronnie Bates & Wayne Kirby of Vision Aussies, Mary Arnold of Bit O'Blarney Aussies, Chris Marki of Marmonte Aussies & Linda Buell of Woodstock Aussies, Gwyn Bauer, Jewel Fuls of Ragtime Aussies, Lindy Patrick of Lyric Aussies, Tracy Lee of Iron Rose Aussies, Terri Morgan & Selena Poplin of Calais & Carolina Aussies, and last but certainly not least, Heather Hawkins of Sonkist Aussies.
